:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Deepthot -- A national treasure : Professor Hill not only gives us the words and language to publicly describe this scourge in America, but also the courage to address it. Period. With this book, she shares how to address the issue of sexual harassment, and beyond, and actually do something lasting about solving this crisis. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from D. C. Christopher -- This is a must-read for everyone! : Anita Hill speaks truth to power and does so in an eloquent yet light-hearted way. She knows there has been great progress but she also knows the job is far from done. She is leveling with the reader and breaking it down for us. We may think hindsight is 20/20 but she (and a ton of women like her) knew the reality decades ago. This should be required reading in high schools and corporations. Who needs a “sensitivity” course when this book lays down example after example of unacceptable thinking and behavior? This book will amaze you and shock you. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Dolly Chugh -- Powerful and Mesmerizing : This book helped me see the forest through the trees. Professor Hill connects a wide variety of issues that plague society with data and stories to help us see how gender-based violence weighs down all of us. She also does a beautiful job explaining case law in a way that is eye-opening and accessible for non-legal types like me. And, obviously, her personal experience is fascinating. Highly recommend this powerful and mesmerizing book. ( Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2021 )
- 4.0 out of 5 stars from Judie amsel -- Sexual harassment. How far we've come. How much farther we must go. : Anita Hill gained public attention when she testified against the nomination of Clarence Thomas to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1991. Her comments about his sexual harassment was not believed by the male senators on the committee and he was sworn in soon afterwards. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2021 )
- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Jennifer -- Excellent. : . Well written with references, stats and court cases. Certainly goes to show more needs to be done to educate and eliminate sexual harassment, sexual abuse and sexual assault. Most importantly, to respect women and equality for ALL.
